Maple Family Dental, as the name suggests, is a family practice. We take
pride in the fact that our patients span generations, and children form a significant portion of our practice. Children’s dental needs are of particular significance, as they often define how a child’s oral health will evolve through adulthood. While mouths are young and growing, future problems can often be warded off with early treatment and corrective measures.

We recommend that you bring your children into the office as their new teeth are starting to erupt, likely just before their first birthday. This allows us to spot possible problems and work on prevention, before they develop.
As your children reaches the age of three, they will likely have their primary teeth, twenty in total. The development of your children’s permanent teeth will soon follow, making regular dental visits extremely important to supervise and ensure proper development.

We understand that visiting the dentist at a young age can be an exciting experience. There’s new faces, new sounds, unfamiliar surroundings…and that’s all before you even sit in “the chair”.
Allowing our young patients to become comfortable with the dental visit is a priority at our office. Years of experience with children in a dental environment has helped us to create a smooth and relaxed dental experience. An early introduction to the dental office will help to ease future anxiety, as well as promote the best smile your child can have, one tooth at a time.
